Apple is now including the 2012 iMac under eligible discounts in its
Employee Purchase Program. The deal cuts 25 percent off the cost of an iMac, for instance bringing the base-level 21.5-inch system from $1,299 down to $974. Every three years, Apple workers can also get an additional $500 towards a Mac.
Even though the current iMac has been on sale since last November, it has until today been excluded from EPP, presumably because of limited supplies. At one point Apple was quoting delivery times as long as four weeks; only this month did times shrink to within 24 hours. The company has even introduced special
educational and
VESA-equipped models.
