Earlier today, Apple released an update for the iOS version of
GarageBand, incrementing the app to version 1.4. The new update contains bug fixes and support for Audiobus, a third-party app that can record audio from other apps that support the application as well.
In addition to the audio recording app support, version 1.4 also allows the user to turn off grid snapping to get finer control over region and note editing, and fixes an issue that resulted in feedback while connecting third-party audio accessories into the headphone/microphone jack.
The app
sells for $5, and requires an iPhone 4S or better, fifth generation iPod touch, or an iPad 2 or later. The Audiobus functionality requires a
$5 separate purchase.
