A new app for digital content presentation called Stampsy (free) has debuted for the iPad, with the goal of giving users easy-to-use tools to help them arrange and integrate visual images and text into cohesive "digital experiences" that can be shared on the web. Pictures can be imported from a photo library or Dropbox and combined with text and layout tools, making the ability to post a visually-interesting, creative effort online more expressive that is seen in template-driven methods such as Tumblr or blogs.

The program, which currently requires a Facebook account to log in, is aimed that users who find present formats for creative sharing too restrictive. The toolset for creating a page or "stamp" is modelled more closely on desktop publishing, letting users create their own layouts and font choices for up to 10 pages per "stamp" without having to worry about HTML-like markup or working within pre-set designs. Users essentially create their own media channel, combining images and text in whatever way they like and then sharing it with other Stampsy users or through each stamp's unique URL or social networks.

In addition, users can subscribe to the works of other users in what's called a "Kiosk" mode, creating a flow of new content to enjoy. Stamps can be shared on the web, Twitter, email and Facebook without having to have the app, which is intended primarily for the creation of stamps and for subscribing to other Stampsy users' works. At present, the app is limited to creating presentations of text and still images, and no plans for an Android version have yet been announced.
