Vimov has updated the desktop version of its Clear Day weather software for the Mac. Previously known as Weather HD, the app has been designed to provide users with detailed weather forecasts for locations around the world. Severe weather warnings are delivered to the app directly from the National Weather Service and MetroAlarm, and detailed animations are used to depict the conditions. Version 2.0 has updated the real-time severe weather notifications to support Mountain Lion, and now provides quick access to a detailed view of weather conditions through the menu bar icon. Support has also been added for pausing and playing videos with a click, as well as dragging map borders to enlarge the view. Clear Day can be purchased from the Mac App Store for $4.
