has announced details of the 2013 MacTech Conference
. The event is undergoing a number of changes this year, for instance switching venues to the Manhattan Beach Marriott, which is closer to Los Angeles International Airport and offering a better discount on guest rooms. The conference is also being stretched out to a full three days -- November 6th through 5PM on the 8th -- and gaining a pre-conference workshop day, with topics like iCloud and beginning iOS development.
Folded into the pre-conference day are the Apple Certification Exams, which cost $199 extra. Later on the same day people will be able to take a free Office for Mac accreditation course and exam, given by a Microsoft trainer.
The core event now includes more sessions and labs, as well as new vendor forums, an addition to the existing QuickTalks and Vendor Tables programs. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Ars Technica
's Jacqui Cheng.
"Super Early Bird" pricing is $899 and lasts until August 15th, after which point the cost will go up $500. A event pass is needed to register a hotel room at the discounted rate, but the admission fee also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus various activities.
