Bare Bone Software has released updates for two of its desktop apps, TextWrangler 4.5.3 and BBEdit 10.5.5. Both updates are focused maintenance releases that include fixes for numerous reported issues. Now, when starting either application from somewhere other than the default Applications folder, users will be asked if they want to relocate the software to /Applications. Additionally, when starting either app. holding down Command, Control, and Shift will give users the option to discard and existing auto-save state. Some cosmetic changes have also been made to the Line Numbers bar and Cursor Position display in editing views.

GameAgent now tests for Mavericks compatibility though Mac Match feature

Aspyr has expanded the capabilities of its Mac Match feature to help customers find out if their machine will be able to run Mavericks, the upcoming OS X update set to release later this year. While normally used for determining if a computer will run games offered through GameAgent, the Aspyr team has pulled together information from around the web to create a "speculative profile of system requirements" for the new OS. To test a system simply load the Mavericks page on GameAgent and the Mac Match feature should automatically load the systems profile. If not, system specifics can be entered manually. Aspyr does note that the information they are using has not been officially confirmed and is subject to change at any time.
