Logitech has introduced two new cases for the iPad mini. The Ultrathin Keyboard Folio
integrates a Bluetooth keyboard with built-in iOS shortcuts for functions like copy, paste, and the Home button; despite the size of the Mini, keys are said to be the same size as on a regular keyboard. The case itself is made of water-repellant material, and designed to sit a Mini in one of two positions: upright for typing, and flat over the keyboard for regular iPad tasks like web browsing. The keyboard can be recharged using a bundled USB cable and gets up to three months of battery life.
The Folio Protective Case
is, essentially, the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio without the keyboard. Both cases use a clip system to lock a Mini into place, and secure their lids using magnets, which double as auto-sleep/wake triggers. The keyboard case costs $90, while the non-keyboard model is $50.
