In a surprise move, Apple has announced plans to ship Lightning docks for the upcoming iPhone 5s and 5c. Both are basic models, only propping up an iPhone while it charges and syncs. The 5s dock is backwards compatible with the iPhone 5.

Each one costs $29. Apple isn't currently accepting orders, however. The company hasn't said when the docks will be available from its online store, and will only offer them at retail when the 5s and 5c launch on September 20th.

The 5 & 5S are the same dimensions, so the "5S" version should work with the 5 as well

Yes, but does it have the ports to amplify sound as previous version did?

As Spheric Harlot says, yes, there is a Line Out on the back of the dock. It supports analog stereo out. This does not amplify sound (nor did the previous version), but allows a cabled connection to any standard amp or powered speakers using a cable with 3.5mm jack (dock Line Out) to two RCA analog plugs (amp Line In).
Life's all about pushin' forward...
