Airturn today released the AirTurn Digit II, its latest multi-function rechargeable wireless remote. The device is suitable for use with presentations in Keynote for iPad, PowerPoint and Keynote for PC and Mac -- and sized appropriately to fit as a keychain. The company says it can be used to control music playlists in iTunes for all devices, as well as Android music player apps, camera and video functions for all iOS devices, and PDF or text pages. It can also control a wide range of compatible apps. Priced at $40, AirTurn's Digit II is available for purchase online.

Plant Factory software released

Released this week, E-on Software's Plant Factory is now available. Designed for the CG, SFX, architecture and gaming communities, Plant Factory offers the ability for users to create and render 3D plants. Plant Factory can create any kind of vegetation, from simplistic grass to hero trees. The Plant Factory product line comprises three main products (Producer, Studio, and Designer) and two specialty versions (Artist and Converter) to address varying needs and budgets.

Within the software, vegetation can be designed by way of painting, assembly of prefabricated components, or graphing plant properties. Plants can be animated using wind and breeze algorithms. Exported 3D vegetation can be formatted as standard OBJ, 3DS or animated FBX files. Pricing starts at $100 for Converter version, and all versions can be purchased online from E-On's website.
