Apple's official System Status page -- used to check whether various online services are running -- has been updated to track iOS activation servers. When buying a new iOS device, the hardware has to be activated before it can be useful. If those servers are down, it can result in people being unable to use their device for hours, particular if servers fail during an iPhone launch weekend.

The System Status page has also been updated to remove a reference to Photo Journals. The sharing feature is associated with the iOS version of iPhoto; it still works properly within the app, which may suggest that Apple simply considers it too granular to be worth tracking separately. The Mac version of iPhoto hasn't seen a major update since 2010.
