IGG has released iBank 5
, a new edition of its Mac finance software. The update makes a number of additions, including the ability to schedule online bill payments through "most major" US banks. A new Update Everything button will import transactions from all connected accounts, sync with devices, and update securities and Direct Access data. Direct Access is an IGG subscription service that keeps transactions automatically updated for all accounts, and has been newly integrated into iBank 5, having previously been limited to the iBank iPad app.
The software's budgeting features have been streamlined, for instance to provide at-a-glance daily progress, and automatically incorporate scheduled transactions like paychecks and bills. Historic budgets should now display properly even after changes are made to future ones, and iBank 5 budgets can be synced to the latest iPad app.
Some other improvements include enhancements for bonds and options, better transaction duplicate cleanups, a new Resolve view for quick glimpses at transaction activity, and various speed and stability fixes. iBank 5 costs $60 new, or $30 as an upgrade from v4. A Direct Access subscription is $5 per month or $40 per year, but can be tested for free during a 30-day trial, like iBank itself. The app requires OS X 10.8 or later.
