Scout for iPhone adds hands-free mobile navigation
Voice activated navigation app Scout
has added a hands-free voice recognition feature for iPhone. Its new feature is called "Hey Scout", which lets users search and drive using Scout without physically touching the screen. While the app runs in the foreground, the user can launch the app's voice recognition search capabilities by saying "Hey Scout." After the feature is engaged, search commands can be facilitated, such as "drive home", "drive to Best Buy," "find cheap gas," and so on.
"Hey Scout" commands includes searching for businesses, address entry, drive home or work, and more. Users can log in through Facebook for password simplification, and can sync their favourites, recent places, and setting across devices. Scout is available free from iTunes, and requires iOS 6 or later.
