The Weather Channel app for iPhone has received an update, offering a redesign for iOS 7 and new features. Its previous all-in-one overview layout has been replaced by various information displayed each on a separate page that can be swiped though. The Weather Channel app has added a new airport mode, that provides users with information about flight delays and cancellations due to weather. A new social component allows users to submit weather reports and photos of their own. The Weather Channel app is free to download through iTunes.

Vevo updates iOS app, improves navigation

Vevo launched an update to its iOS app this past week, featuring an updated home page and improved navigation. Available on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, the music video streaming app now features a menu of options where users can browse, search and navigate different videos while viewing a reduced screen of the currently playing video. Playlists can be added or edited, and shared through social networks through buttons within the app. Vevo's SDK will soon be made available to third-party developers.

Erased the Weather Channel app with this upgrade. The old app had all the vital information easily accessible. This new one makes you work for your weather info. Stupid. And who does social with the weather? (Its' raining here. Is it raining there?)
