Google has launched two new iPhone/iPad apps, Google Docs
and Google Sheets
. The apps provide access to functions that were previously restricted to the web, or buried within Google Drive. Google notes that third related app, Google Slides, is "coming soon." Android versions of the apps are also available.
Docs supports online and offline editing. Online, documents can be shared with others and edited collaboratively, complete with comment functions. Sheets has similar features, simply switching focus to Excel-style spreadsheets. Both apps save changes automatically as work progresses.
The new titles are free downloads, and require iOS 7 or later.
