The Lenovo
IdeaTab A2109 has landed at Best Buy
priced agressively at $300. Lenovo has priced the tablet at $350
on its website, but the lower price point at Best Buy pushes into the sphere of consideration for buyers thinking about purchasing the
Nexus 7. It is powered by the same Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GH, but also offers a larger 9.7-inch IPS display with a 1024x800 resolution.
The Lenovo IdeaTab is pre-loaded with Android 4.0 'Ice Cream Sandwich' and incorporates a single, front-facing camera with 1.3-megapixels for still and video. The device weighs in at just 1.28lbs, though manages to pack in four speakers with SRS TruMedia sound enhancement. In addition to the microSD slot, the device also includes a micro HDMI port and a micro-AB USB port.
The device comes in either 16GB or 32GB versions, with the model on sale at Best Buy is the 16GB variant. It is very similar to the Lenovo S2109, which is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP processor and sports a slightly lower screen resolution at 1024x768 pixels. Of the two, the version on sale at Best Buy looks to be easily the better buy.
