Owners of Asus' Transformer Prime TF201 will now be able to receive an update to the latest version of Google's Android operating system, version 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The roll out is part of a larger string of upgrades on the part of the Taiwanese manufacturer, one that will see the TF700 upgraded to version 4.1.1 as well. Users looking to upgrade can initiate the process by going to the About tablet section section under settings and selecting System updates.

The upgrade to version 4.1.1 brings access to Google Now, Google's fledgling mobile assistant service. It also brings UI improvements, including GOogle's much-touted Project Butter, which bumps the Android user interface to 60fps, making for smoother transitions and animations.
