Samsung has confirmed that it will be launching the Galaxy S III Mini tomorrow. JK Shin, head of Mobile Communications at Samsung, commented on tomorrow's event
in Germany to Inews24
, confirming the device to have a four-inch screen and have a "full form factor," though it will not apparently be an entry-level smartphone.
Shin justified the phone's existence by citing a high demand for a four-inch screen in Europe. Interestingly, the handset may not make an appearance in Korea, however this is currently under consideration by the electronics giant.
Little has been revealed about the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini. Aside from the screen size, the handset is likely to keep most of the features that went into the full-size version. A TouchWiz-enabled Android OS will be used, but it is unclear if it will be Ice Cream Sandwich or the newer Jelly Bean, the latter of which is gradually being released for the Galaxy S III
