HP has given the EliteBook Revolve an early reveal ahead of both CES 2013 and its eventual on-sale date of March. Living up to its name, the device employs a revolving hinge that follows in the footsteps of the traditional Windows convertible notebook. This time though, HP has added a dose of style from its high-end Envy line and combining it with a notebook that its is positioning for the business market.

As with some of its Envy notebooks, the Revolve incorporates edge-to-edge scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 2 to protect its 720p 11.6-inch display, while it also utilizes an all-magnesium chassis to help keep its weight down to a relatively svelte 3.04 pounds. It incorporates a full-sized backlit keyboard with an optional pen also available, while a 720p HD4 camera facillitates video conferencing. The Revolve is powered by a choice of Core i5 and i7 processors, while it also includes the latest in connectivity including WWAN, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, NFC and 'enterprise-class' docking capabilities. Hard drives include SSDs up to 256GB with Intel Rapid Start tech capable of taking the device from sleep to start in as quickly as 5 miliseconds. Enterprise or government buyers can also opt to have the Revolve preinstalled with Windows 7 Pro or Windows 8 Pro.
