Just a few days after earlier, blurrier pictures emerged, the forthcoming BlackBerry device with the hardware QWERTY keyboard has shown up yet again in photos. The new images give a clearer view of the device, said to be named the BlackBerry X10, and show the handset running the newest version of BlackBerry OS 10. The screens seem to indicate, as well, that several popular apps will be available for BlackBerry OS 10 as soon as the new operating system launches.

Today's images, uncovered by N4BB, show a device identical to the one pictured in earlier leaks. The hardware keyboard on the X10, also known as the N-Series, runs from one edge of the device to the other. The lock screen for the device will apparently feature icons giving information on forthcoming events and received messages. It also has an icon that would appear to unlock the device directly into camera mode. When unlocked the X10 will be able to display eight app icons on its home screen, with the bottom fifth of the screen taken up by a launcher for Phone, Device Search, and Camera. With regard to apps, the X10 screens show LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare on the home screen below a number of RIM-developed apps. While this gives no indication of RIM's success in attracting smaller developers, the presence of these popular apps may help convince some users to stay with or return to RIM's platform. The X10 is likely to launch some time soon after RIM launches the all-touchscreen L-Series BlackBerry 10 handset. While the L-Series will feature a 768x1280 touchscreen, the X10 will have a 720x720 resolution with an OLED display. Later versions of the device may feature an LCD display.
