NEC Display has extended its MultiSync EA range with a 24-inch LED-backlit IPS monitor. The EA244WMI screen has many of the same features, such as the wide 178-degree viewing angles and standard 1920x1080 resolution, as its 22-inch predecessor that was released four months ago, but in a larger screen size.

Complete with an integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub, speakers and headphone jack, the EA244WMI boasts a low-power consumption and an Eco Mode carbon footprint meter and cost meter. Smart sensing technology such as ambient light and human proximity sensors automatically adjusts the brightness of the display, saving power when needed, while ControlSync allows up to six of the monitors to be configured with identical settings in unison via a single master monitor. Connection to a computer is provided by DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D and VGA inputs. NEC is putting the 24-inch EA244WMI on sale in the US later this month at a cost of $380, with an included three-year limited parts and labor warranty.
