Australian hardware maker Kogan has announced a low-cost five-inch Android phone. Dubbed the Agora 50, the phablet is claimed by company founder Ruslan Kogan to be a way for to "make technology more affordable for everyone," and manages to pack a budget handset's specifications list into a phone that is a quarter of the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Powered by a 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor with 512MB of RAM, the Agora 50 has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing version, while its 4GB of internal storage is supported by a microSD card slot. Running on Ice Cream Sandwich, the Agora also manages to offer support for dual SIM cards, and houses a 2,000 mAh battery. The Agora 50 is available to pre-order from Kogan's website for $150 internationally and £120 in the UK, and expects to ship on February 14th.
