Shortly after being revealed in both Japan and South Korea, LG has brought its Optimus G Pro to Mobile World Congress, as part of its four-tier Optimus strategy. Electronista managed to spend some time with the Pro variant of the Optimus G, which includes a full HD IPS display measuring 5.5 inches, three quarters of an inch larger than its predecessor, the Optimus G.

The additional size of the device from that 1920x1080-resolution display gives the impression that it may be a bit too oversized, even for this writer's larger-than-average hands. In terms of weight, it seems to straddle the line between being too heavy and too light for it's size, though leaning only marginally towards lightness, and it seems to be a fairly sturdy device. The Optimus G Pro's menus and app loading operates at an extremely quick pace, courtesy of its quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, supported by 2GB of RAM. Loading the camera took next to no time to load, while the 13-megapixel camera sensor appeared to be extremely clear on the phone's own display, itself being extremely sharp and bright with a 400PPI pixel density. As far as the device goes, the Optimus G Pro at first glance appears to be a solid choice of handset for those looking for LTE connectivity, though the other devices on show at Mobile World Congress could give it a run for your money.
