Google has made a number of updates to its Google+ profile pages, with a number of changes based on user feedback. A new tab for local reviews, easier editing of profile pages, and bigger cover photos form the bulk of the interface changes, with the updates rolling out to users gradually over the coming weeks.

Initially announced by Google+ product manager Sara McKinley, the cover photos are now displayed at a 16:9 ratio when fully expanded, and can now be up to 2120x1192 in resolution, something that McKinley claims gives "more room for your selection to shine." The About tab now uses separate cards, such as Story, Places, and Links, with each having their own edit link, while the Local tab provides users the chance to review local businesses and places. In January, Google updated the Hangouts feature of Google+ to help with one-person broadcasts, while 18 new features were added to the social network in December, including updates to its Android and iOS apps.
