Philips launches Hue developer tools
Philips has launched a new
software developer program for its Hue light bulbs that allows anyone to create mobile apps for controlling the web-enabled LED home lighting system. Originally
launched in October with a dedicated iOS app, the Hue system allows users to set lighting schedules, as well as change the color output of the bulb. The Hue developer program consists of a range of Open APIs and an iOS SDK, as well as various guides that can help developers start programming with Hue. In addition, Philips has also set up a
developer forum where customers can connect with each other and find answers to various support questions.
