New SDK and Unity plug-in gives developers access to Sphero AR features
Orbotix has expanded third-party development options for its Sphero
hardware through the introduction of a new augmented reality SDK and a Unity-based plug-in. Together, the AR SDK
and Unity plug-in provide developers with all of the tools necessary for developing new augmented reality-based games for the robotic toy. The plug-in acts as a bridge between Unity and the iOS SDK, and provides vision detection by automatically coordinating the camera and ball position, distance, orientation and more. While currently restricted to iOS development, Orbotix has also promised that an upcoming update will add support for it's Android SDK.
