D-Link has put the Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router on sale in the United States. Last shown at CES in January, the AC1200 offers dual-band speeds on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands of up to 300Mbps and 867Mbps for 802.11a, b, g, n, and ac devices, and can be remotely managed from a mobile device using an accompanying app.

The mydlink Lite app for iOS and Android, as well as the QRS Mobile app for a simpler set-up of the router can be used to manage the network device remotely, as well as allowing for configuration through the mydlink web portal. The built-in USB 3.0 port can be used with the SharePort Mobile app to share photos, video, and other content through a connected external drive, while four Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity options.

The Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router is on sale for $130.

Dear MacNN-- Reprinting press releases don't qualify you as journalists.

MacNN does lots of other things, but it does -- routinely -- print stories about new products ... just like every other Mac news site I'm aware of (particularly on slow news days such as holiday weekends). If you're looking for journalism, I suggest you look at some of these:

There you go, plenty of non-PR-based stories for you to read -- and that's just from the current front page. Shall I go on for you?

"Reprinting press releases don't qualify you as journalists."
You must be new here :-)
I'd classify MacNN as a "trade journal" insofar that much of what is news about Macs is simply product releases and needs no more than a couple of lines describing the product. Taking it straight from the press release is fine because it's just a heads-up for quick reading. Perhaps MacNN could have little badges for "Reviews", "News" and "PR", etc that would help us quickly distinguish between items, but it's generally pretty obvious what's a press release and what's not.
Anyway, Happy Easter to all and I hope the bunny was generous.
