A Micro Four Thirds camera from Blackmagic has leaked online, ahead of its official reveal at the NAB show in Las Vegas. The Pocket Cinema Camera, a more consumer-oriented version of the Cinema Camera MFT, will retain the same lens mounting capability as its predecessor while also adding a number of user-friendly features.

A banner photographed by Danielo Garcia and uploaded to Twitter, found by Engadget, shows the Pocket Cinema Camera has a Super-16 1080HD sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range, and is capable of lossless CinemaDNG RAW recording to an SD card. A high-resolution rear LCD can be used for monitoring video, while the micro HDMI also allows for external monitoring with overlays.

A later statement from the company reveals it allows for the full sensor range to be recorded in ProRes 422 format, and will implement a QuickTime wrapper for CinemaDNG and companion codec, allowing for footage to be recorded in a format for RAW editing in consumer-grade editing software. The micro HDMI output is accompanied by a headphone port and speaker, audio in, and a mini USB port for software updates.

The same image leaked another camera for film makers: the Production Camera 4K. It offers a Super 35 sensor with Ultra HD and 4K support, a global shutter, built-in SSD recorder, a touchscreen LCD, EF mount and Thunderbolt connectivity.

At launch, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera will cost $995, and will be shipping in July. The Production Camera 4K will sell for $3,995, and also ships in July.
