A new rumor has the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3
packing a 5.99-inch 1080p display. As with many of Samsung's mobile product iterations, the new display will be larger than the displays on the original Galaxy Note (5.3-inches) and the Galaxy Note 2 (5.5-inches). Each of the earlier versions of the device carried Super AMOLED displays, although the new rumor
doesn't specify whether it will follow suit, or carry an LCD panel.
The Korean company has had tremendous success with its large screen devices, although it also sells devices with smaller screen sizes as well, attempting to cater to every market niche. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Mega
that will be available from this month in either 5.8- or 6.3-inch displays, although these have been confirmed as utilizing LCD panels. The rumored Galaxy Note 3 specs would put its display right between these two devices.
Samsung is expected to differentiate the Galaxy Note 3 with a further iteration of its S Pen stylus, while it will be also better specified CPU than the Galaxy Mega devices. The Mega devices are limited to dual-core CPUs, while the Note 3 is expected to carry the company's 4+4 Exynos 5 Octa processor clocked at 2GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. On board storage is set at 32GB, but is likely to be expandable through a microSD slot. [via Pocket-lint
