T-Mobile has released an iPhone version of its T-Mobile TV
app. The app has been available for Android since 2010, but T-Mobile only started selling the iPhone in April
. The app comes with 30 days of free access to content like the Associated Press
and Fox News, but the bulk of content is behind a subscription paywall.
A $13-per-month plan includes channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, and Disney, Fox, Bloomberg, Comedy Central, and many others. Discounts on subscriptions are available by choosing 90- or 180-day subscriptions, and T-Mobile is selling special themed packs that offer access to content like Spanish-language channels or movies on Crackle.
The app is a free download, and runs on any device with iOS 4.3 or later. It is, however, only optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch, not iPads.
