An image allegedly of the LG Optimus F3 has appeared online. The smartphone, following on from the Optimus F5 and Optimus F7
revealed at Mobile World Congress in February, is said to be heading to Sprint later this quarter, alongside the Optimus G Pro
, and is expected to be a mid-range offering from the manufacturer and carrier.
The photograph from @evleaks via Phone Arena
shows it as having three hardware buttons on the front, and is claimed to have a 4-inch WVGA display, smaller than the 4.3-inch and 4.7-inch versions used by the F5 and F7 models. Though most of the internal hardware is not detailed in the leak, it will apparently have a dual-core processor, run on Android Jelly Bean, and house a 2,460mAh battery.
It is likely that the F3 will retain most of the pre-installed software of its F-series counterparts, which could include the multitasking Qslide for multiple active applications on a screen, live zooming of videos, Qtranslator, and QuickMemo.
The Optimus F3 could be launched by LG in the coming weeks, as part of the manufacturer's 2013 mobile range for Australia. The cost is not specified, except it will be "priced aggressively on contract."
