Asus has opened up pre-orders for its first UHD-resolution consumer-level monitor, one the company announced
in May alongside a possible 39-inch version. The PQ321Q
IGZO LED-backlit display measures 31.5-inch diagonally, is capable of displaying 4K images at a resolution of 3840x2160 at 60Hz with 10-bit RGB color.
Offering a pixel density of 140 ppi, the screen has viewing angles of 176 degrees in both horizontal and vertical planes, a gray-to-gray response time of 8ms, and a native 800:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity is provided by dual HDMI ports and DisplayPort 1.2, which can be used with picture-by-picture to display multiple smaller screens from multiple sources. It also has built-in 2-Watt stereo speakers.
The Asus PQ321Q is being sold for $3,500, with an expected shipping date of July 16th.
