A second version of the HTC One Google Edition
has appeared at Bluetooth SIG. The new model, filed
on June 18th and receiving Bluetooth certification on July 5th, is shown to be running on Android 4.3 instead of the stock Android 4.2 installation for the device, with the model number PN071 said to be the same as the one available through the Google Play Store.
It is noted by Phone Arena
that this is the second time that the HTC One has appeared at Bluetooth SIG with the Google Edition name. This is likely down to the introduction of Bluetooth 4.0 LE support in Android 4.3, a low energy version designed for syncing with accessories, something that would not have been available in the previous versions of Android.
The launch of Android 4.3 is expected to occur in the near future, though an exact time remains unknown. Late last month, an internal test version of Android 4.3 running on a Samsung Galaxy S4
was spotted, also a Google Edition handset.
