is allegedly working on two more phones that are set to be released by the end of the year, according to reports. The BlackBerry A10 will feature a bigger screen compared to the BlackBerry Q10
and be aimed towards gamers, while the BlackBerry Bold 9720 will be a refresh of the popular BlackBerry Bold 9700, complete with an installation of BlackBerry 10.
The A10 will use a five-inch Super AMOLED display, instead of the 3.1-inch version seen in the Q10, according to Boy Genius Report
. Packing a dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM, it is claimed to have separate GPU and GPU processors, and uses the "same silicon structure that the iPhone does." Externally, it will be styled similarly to the Samsung Galaxy S4, and is likely to have a an 8-megapixel camera on the rear. Considering the large size of the screen, it is possible that it will be a touchscreen-only device without a keyboard, just like the Z10
, but there is no mention if it would or would not have a keyboard. The A10 is said to launch late this fall.
The Bold 9720 is said to be a replacement for the BlackBerry 9320, though little details are provided as to its specifications. Appearing in a photograph next to the Bold 9900
, it appears to be marginally wider, and have a grid of keys that are spaced apart evenly, rather than being tightly packed with a slight curve. The display appears to be roughly the same size, if marginally smaller, and the main control row below the screen remains in the same order, but as raised buttons. It is suggested that the Bold 9720 could go on sale for around $350.
