The Sony PlayStation 4 has been spotted heading through the FCC for approval. The upcoming game console, due to ship before the end of this year, is shown in the filing to have both China and Japan listed as the country of manufacture, suggesting that Sony is attempting to make sure there are as few console supply issues as possible at launch.

The filing spotted by Engadget shows that the custom AMD processor with eight Jaguar cores is clocked at 2.75GHz, something that the company previously revealed would be paired with embedded Radeon graphics processing, a built-in hard drive for storage, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, and a 6x Blu-ray optical drive. Listings also state that it will have support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Energy connections.

The PlayStation 4 is expected to ship at a cost of $399 for the base model alone, though it is likely to also arrive bundled alongside a game or extra controllers in a more expensive package.
