Samsung has released a quad-core flip phone aimed at the Chinese market. Not only does the Samsung Hennessy
(SCH-W789) incorporate a high-performance 1.2GHz processor, it also features dual 3.3-inch 320x480 touchscreen displays. Like most phones released for the Chinese market, the Hennessy also supports dual-SIM cards, one for the China Telecom CDMA network, and the other for the China Mobile GSM network.
The Samsung Hennessy also sports 1GB of system RAM, while user storage is supported through a microSD card. Connectivity includes USB 2.0, Bluetooth, aGPS and Wi-Fi 802.11n, while it also includes a 1500mAh battery. Photos and video can be captured on the 5-megapixel rear camera. The Hennessy is shipping with Android 4.1 'Jelly Bean' on board, and comes with Samsung's familiar TouchWiz UI, as well as Samsung's ChatOn cross-platform messaging app.
Pricing details have not yet been made available, although it is almost certain that Samsung won't ship the Hennessy to the US or Europe. However, like many Asia-only models, certain online vendors will ship devices internationally if you would like to cross the flip phone past with a touchscreen present. [via Pocket-Lint
