More details for Sony's "lens camera" attachments have surfaced, in the form of illustrations from the manual. The DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100, shown in images earlier this week
, include the usual microphone, tripod mount, zoom controls and shutter buttons as other cameras, albeit in a non-standard form, along with a rechargeable, removable battery pack.
The images from Sony Alpha Rumors
show the lenses as having slots for memory cards, a status display panel, and a large number of controls, effectively allowing the user to take photos without needing to wirelessly connect to a smartphone as intended, albeit without a viewfinder. The 20.2-megapixel QX100 is said to weigh 179 grams (6.3ounces) fully loaded, while the QX10 and its 18-megapixel CMOS sensor will weigh 105 grams (3.7ounces).
The report also states that there will be an event on September 4th in New York, where Sony will be providing a US business update, as well as revealing "some exciting news in the digital imaging, computer, television, and audio categories."
