Asus will be expanding its VivoBook range
with a 10.1-inch Windows 8 notebook, according to new leaked information. The VivoBook X102BA, shown in a promotional image, is said to have a touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366x768, with its compact size and potential student-friendly low cost being its biggest selling points.
that it will have a dual-core AMD processor running at 1GHz supported by Radeon HD 8180 graphics, 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard disk, though the latter can be upgraded to a version with 4GB of RAM and 500GB of storage. Connectivity is provided by two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a card reader, while the battery is said to be capable of lasting for around five hours.
Expected to go on sale in late September for 330 euro ($440), the VivoBook X102BA will also apparently ship with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, and 32GB of cloud storage.
