has introduced several new ThinkPad notebooks equipped with Intel's latest Haswell-series processors, adding to the T-, W-, L-, and E-series offerings. The W540 is the company's latest mobile workstation, featuring a 15.5-inch IPS panel with 2880x1620 resolution, Nvidia's discrete Quadro graphics and an integrated color calibrator.
The T440p and T540p represent Lenovo's premium business notebooks, with options for Core i7 processors and GeForce GT730M graphics. The former is claimed to provide up to 13.7 hours of battery life, while the latter extends up to 12.6 hours.
The L-series L440 and L540 are marketed as the "best value" ThinkPads, providing a choice between Haswell processors with vPro support and optimization for integration in IT infrastructures. The E440 and E540 also focus on "small business value," with 14- and 15.6-inch sizes and a variety of configuration options.
The T- and W-series notebooks are slated for November availability, with pricing to be announced closer to the ship dates. The L-series notebooks will start at $729 when they arrive in October, while the basic E-series configurations will sell for approximately $830.
