Google has announced a new initiative that will provide support for entrepreneur spaces around the US and Canada. The "Tech Hub Network" will initially include seven partners, which will be provided with financial support and access to Google technology and mentorship.

The partners will include 1871 in Chicago, American Underground in Durham, Coco in Minneapolis, Communitech in Waterloo, Galvanize in Denver, Grand Circus in Detroit, and Nashville Entrepreneur Center in Nashville.

"Through our work in more than 100 countries, we've been incredibly impressed with the catalyzing impact that tech hubs have had: helping startups grow, and creating jobs in local communities in the process," Google for Entrepreneurs head of partnerships John Lyman wrote in a blog post. "We believe these hubs have pioneered a new approach to launching a business, and it's our mission to help support them."

The program serves as an extension to the Google for Entrepreneurs program, which provides wider support for entrepreneurs throughout the world. Participants can participate in online and local education sessions, including content related to the company's various tools and services.
