A photograph of what appears to be a new camera from Pentax has allegedly leaked. The image of the Pentax K-3 appears to show an APS-C device with a similar body to the Pentax K-5
, though it is said that it Ricoh will be making a change to the display on the rear, though it will apparently not be a flippable or hinged version, and will also not be a touchscreen.
The leak from Digicame-info
mentions it will have a new flash system, a tracking autofocus with all AF sensors being cross sensors and a number of new in-camera functions. Earlier rumors from Photo Rumors
suggest it to have a 24MP sensor, a PRIME III image processor, a 27-point AF, a 100-percent 0.95x optical viewfinder, and a stereo phone-out monitor jack.
The price of the body alone is suggested to be around $1,300, though there is no word as to when Pentax will be launching the K-3.
