Jawbone has put its Mini Jambox
portable Bluetooth speaker, revealed by the company last month, on sale in the United States. The speaker, capable of connecting to an accompanying iOS and Android mobile app that collects playlists from iTunes, Rdio and Spotify for playback, is available to buy for $180 through Jawbone's website
Heading to retail "shortly" according to Engadget
, the Mini Jambox weighs nine ounces and is made from a single piece of extruded aluminum. Using two neodymium drivers and a passive bass radiator, it can connect over Bluetooth 4.0 with Low Energy to two devices at the same time, as well as through a 3.5mm stereo input. Chargeable over Micro-USB, it boasts up to 10 hours of continuous playback and 75 hours of standby time on a single charge of its built-in lithium-ion battery.
The Jawbone Mini Jambox is available in a choice of colors and designs, including Aqua Scales, Blue Diamond, Graphite Facet, Purple Snowflake, Red Dot, Yellow Dot, Green Dot, Orange Dot, and Silder Dot.
