Verizon customers will soon have the option to fully personalize their Moto X handsets
, according to a new report
from notorious tech news leaker @evleaks. The rumored November 11 arrival of Moto Maker will allow customers on the United States' largest carrier to choose their own color and configuration options for Motorola's newest flagship model. Until now, the customization option has only been available on AT&T
Despite that initial exclusivity, Motorola confirmed at the device's launch that the service would be available for other carriers. There is no word on when Moto Maker will make its way to Sprint.
The Moto X is the first flagship phone produced by Motorola with significant input from Google since the search giant bought the struggling phone manufacturer last year. Motorola is now producing more than 100,000 Moto X units
per week at a Texas facility. The coming weeks, according to previous rumors, are likely to see the Moto X selling for $99
, as well as the availability of a wooden back among the customization options.
