Beacon Audio's latest Bluetooth speaker, The Phoenix 2, launched last week alongside the promotional offer of free US shipping of the product until October 15. The Phoenix 2, measured at 3x3 inches, has prolonged battery life compared to its predecessor with up to 10 hours of music play. Its built-in microphone allows the device to facilitate use as a speakerphone, and an updated Bluetooth and flash chip set allows for a 40-foot range signal connection from its synced mobile device. Available in black, blue, red and white, the Phoenix 2 is priced $80 and can be purchased online from Beacon Audio and at select retail locations.

Smart Travel Router and Adapter features plug configurations to fit in over 150 countries

Satechi today announced its new Smart Travel Router and Adapter with USB Port. Compatible with four of the most common plug configurations used around the world, the router/adapter also has four modes for wireless networking. In router mode, the unit enables users to create their own secure network with an Internet connection. Repeater mode connects to an existing network and strengthens a weak connection by amplifying its signal, and Access Point mode creates a wireless connection from a wired source, enabling mobility. Lastly, Client mode facilitates a wireless Internet connection for a normally Ethernet-connected device, such as a smart TV or video game console. In addition to these networking features, the device can charge other electronics with its 2.1A USB port and AC power port. Priced at $45, The Smart Travel Router and Adapter is available for purchase at Satechi.net and Amazon.
