Samsung is offering a range of digital perks to entice consumers into picking up its newest Android tablets
, with owners of qualifying devices being able to cash in on up to $600 worth of incentives. The South Korean tech giant has posted a page
detailing potential bonuses available to users registering a new Samsung tablet. All of the tablets and devices eligible for the promotion were released over the course of 2013.
Galaxy tablet owners registering their devices through Samsung can get between $200 and $600 worth of perks simply for registering their tablets with Samsung. Eligible devices include the Galaxy Note 10.1
2014 Edition, Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition, Galaxy Tab 3 Wi-Fi, and Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi.
The perks vary depending on the device, but some tablets are eligible for $25 worth of Google Play Store credit, as well as a $50 credit for music, movies, and TV shows through Samsung Hub. New Hulu Plus users and new SiriusXM Internet Radio users can also get a three-month trial subscription, and new Boingo users can get mobile Wi-Fi access for 12 months.
Samsung also offers new Audible users three free audiobooks, and new Zinio members can get a two-month subscription to three digital magazines. As in the past, Samsung also offers two years of 50GB of Dropbox space for free with the activation of a tablet. Also available are content offerings from NYTimes.com and the BusinessWeek+ Tablet App.
Samsung is also offering buyers of its HomeSync media device
access to $50 worth of content from Media Hub.
As Android Police point
out, many of these features were already included with the purchase of a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. Still, the move is the latest in the South Korean Tech conglomerate's efforts to improve its standing in the tablet segment. Apple remains the largest player
in that market, but Samsung has made significant gains with its line of Galaxy tablet devices over the past year.
