FxFactory, developer of visual effects tools for post-production and broadcast markets, has introduced a new plugin to its repertoire: CineFlare Handheld. Exclusively built for Final Cut Pro X software, CineFlare Handheld allows editors to mimic video recording captured by using a handheld camera.

CineFlare Handheld offers post-production editing tools that achieve the look of whip pans, lens focusing, zooms, and even bumps and jitters that are commonplace when filming with a handheld camera. Using high quality images, users can choose from over thirty tools and presets to add lens movements and zoom effects, with the option to layer multiple effects for a particular aesthetic. Its Drift Handheld Effect consists of a subtle drifting movement that provides the option to generate a random seed to change up drifting effects, and the Main Handheld Effect offers the ability to control the amount of handheld variation as well as the speed of the movement. Available now through FxFactory, CineFlare Handheld for Final Cut Pro X can be purchased for $50.
