A German retailer, Conrad Electronic, has begun taking pre-orders for the 2013 Mac Pro
with an alleged
December 16 release date. Quad- and six-core models are listed, priced at €2,999 and €3,999. The date is the first specific target from a retailer, although Apple has yet to announce a window beyond "December."
On Monday, French site MacGeneration mentioned
updated rumors of a launch on Wednesday, December 18. Previously, the site had heard talk of a launch on the 13th. Apple may be trying to delay launch as long as possible, since Intel's Ivy Bridge-EP processors have seen
relatively slow production so far despite a September debut.
