Asus may be preparing to release another Windows tablet in the VivoTab range
, according to a new leak from a presentation
. A low-resolution image for what is described as the VivoTab Note 8 has surfaced, apparently showing it will have some form of stylus support, as well as a list of specifications suggesting it will have a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom "Bay Trail" SoC for processing.
The eight-inch IPS display is said to have a relatively-low resolution of 800x1280, with support for ten-point multi-touch and a Wacom digitizer, according to Mobile Geeks
. It will apparently also have 2GB of RAM, options for 32GB and 64GB of storage with microSD expandability, a rear-mounted 5-megapixel camera with 1.2-megapixel front-facing version, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3,950mAh battery.
The leak places the VivoTab Note 8 as being a "Holiday 2013" release for $299, something that is doubtful considering the closeness to the end of the year. It is more likely that Asus will use CES to launch the tablet instead, if not shortly afterward.
