Allied Vision's latest short-wave infrared camera, the Goldeye G-032
, is due to be available in the first quarter of 2014. An entire revamping of the original Goldeye, the Goldeye G-032's new rectangular housing is significantly smaller and lighter. Its hardware is intended to be rugged; its built-in sensor cooling works without a fan and its screwed interface port allows for a secure connection. Featuring an ultra-compact form factor fitting screw threads on all sides, integration into an image processing system is readily feasible.
The new Goldeye has a GigE Vision-compliant Gigabit Ethernet interface and supports power over Ethernet, simplifying cabling. Its InGaAs sensor supports 640-512 pixel resolution and framerates up to 100 frames per second. Pricing for the Goldeye G-032 has yet to be released.
Vision Research's Phantom v2010 delivers more than 22,000 frames per second
Vision Research announced its latest ultra high-speed camera, the Phantom v2010
, this week. The newest addition to the company's Phantom 1Mpx digital ultra high-speed camera line, the Phantom v2010 is 40 percent faster than the Phantom v1610, with its ability to capture more than 22,000 frame-per-second at full resolution.
Featuring a 1280x800 CMOS sensor, the v2010 offers high speeds and larger 28-micron pixels that allow for superior sensitivity when shooting in low light. Its memory can be segmented into as many as 63 partitions, allowing for continuous shooting of back-to-back shots with the need for downloading. Along with its predecessors, the v2010 comes with Vision Research's breakthrough CineMag interface, which allows the user to save a high-speed shot from camera memory to non-volatile storage quickly. Beginning to ship in early February, its price yet to be announced.
