Accessory maker iDevices has announced some additional grilling tech products to be showcased at CES 2014 next week. The iGrill2 Bluetooth Smart Meat Thermometer and the iLP Bluetooth Smart Liquid Propane Monitor are app-connected products that aim to improve the user's grilling efficiency.

The iGrill2 ($100) allows one to monitor the temperature of food using a free iDevices Connected App from up to 150 feet away. The device features an LED display with proximity wake-up, magnetic mounting, four probe ports and a 150-hour battery life. The iLP propane monitor (pricing to be announced) uses ultrasonic sensors for an accurate reading of the propane level in a barbecue tank. By leaving the sensor on the bottom of the propane tank, the user will be alerted by its corresponding app when propane is low, and the location of the nearest refill location. Currently available for iOS devices, an Android version of iDevice apps will be released later in 2014.

Soundfreaq to unveil Pocket Kick, Sound Rise and Double Spot wireless speakers at CES 2014

Audio equipment manufacturer Soundfreaq has announced the upcoming introduction of its wireless speakers at CES 2014. Featured speakers include ultra-portable Pocket Kick, speaker-alarm clock Sound Rise, and Double Spot. Starting at $70, Soundfreaq's new speakers are due to roll out mid-2014.

Pocket Kick (priced at $100), the successor to Sound Kick, offers a steel grill construction in both front and back for optimized air flow and clearer sound. Its rechargeable battery allows for 10 hours of play, able to stream music via Bluetooth as well as take wireless calls with its built-in microphone. Soundrise ($70) maintains the functions of a standard alarm clock with the addition of audio streaming through Bluetooth. Its variety of display settings accommodates an extremely bright or blacked-out digital clock face and custom font. Double Spot ($120) is a wireless home speaker with a mid-century design aesthetic, able to provide rich sound and Bluetooth streaming.
