Smarwatch maker Pebble will make a special CES announcement on Monday, January 6 at 11AM Pacific time, according to an official blog post. The event will be hosted by CEO Eric Migicovsky, and streaming on getpebble.com

The coordination of the event with CES may suggest that Pebble is planning to announce second-generation hardware. While Pebble was the first company to succeed with a smartwatch, numerous other parties have released or are developing products of their own, including Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm, and LG. The recent introduction of an app store and updated SDK
may point to where Pebble plans to take its devices.
